To achieve its goals, IDB has to work with different currencies, interest calculation methods and national regulations, always adapting to the unique needs of its borrowers. IDB’s challenging development finance environment puts unique pressures on its loan management system. Before opting for change in 2016, IDB was operating on a custom technology platform. But given the scale of the bank’s objectives, and the digital demands that come with that, it needed to build a highly configurable solution that would support its future financial offerings.
